Las Vegas has changed over the years, but the reason people love it is the experience, plain and simple. Alexxa’s Bar at Paris Las Vegas brings the best of Sin City into this one experience, food, cocktails along with a fun experience all while giving you a birds-eye view of the Las Vegas Strip.
While the open air setting at Alexxa’s Bar is similar to neighboring Hexx, the setting itself and the atmosphere are completely different. Alexxa’s Bar has a very fun and casual design to it and their are tables and couches that are meant to be more casual as opposed to a typical restaurant setting. You are going to find live music several nights during the week and this is just a great place to enjoy cocktails with friends in a more lounge like atmosphere.
Executive Chef Carlos Buscaglia has been creating whimsical menus at HEXX for three years now and decided to bring his creativity in the different format that Alexxa’s Bar presents to its guests. Chef Carlos is a chef that will keep you coming back. Not only is he always creating new menus, but everything that he serves at both restaurants is always spectacular.
Alexxa’s Bar features a menu consisting of mainly small plates, allowing you to share with friends without turning your fun into a dinner experience. Don’t let the term small plate fool you, the food is flavorful and will leave you more than satisfied. While avocado toast might be one of those buzzworthy dishes of the moment, if you take one bite of the goat cheese toast and you will forget all about avocado. While the goat cheese has a slight tart bite to it, the flavor is blended beautifully with the addition of honey and toasted walnuts. This would be a great dish with wine, but simply all by itself, this is one of the best appetizers on the Las Vegas strip.
There are plenty of other great dishes to choose from such as: ceviche, ahi tuna tacos and the Texas queso. The Texas queso is a rich combination of melted cheese with chorizo and pico de gallo that is served with warm pretzel bites and goes perfectly with one of the many unique beers that Alexxa’s Bar serves. There are a number of great larger dishes on the menu, but the Korean BBQ bowl is a must try. A beautifully served bowl that is loaded with tender and flavorful Korean barbecue beef along with enough fried rice for two, fresh cilantro and you have to top it off with a poached egg. Once you mix it all together you are going to get a plethora of great flavors in every bite.
The cocktail menu is full of creativity and fresh ingredients and you will want to keep coming back until you try everything on the menu, they are all that good. Strawberry Fields brings together tequila, aperol, fresh lime and strawberry jam to give you a very fresh and light, yet potently flavorful cocktail. You are also going to see the Serious Conversation featuring dry curacao and chocolate bitters or Misty’s New Fashion, a twist on the old fashioned that has house-made sweet cream. Their sangria menu lists nine unique blends available by the pitcher or glass and the flavors are versions you have probably never thought of. The Sunshine Express is a great example as it has a pinot that is combined with mango rum, mango puree, citrus and tajin.
If you are looking for a little bit of a different experience and setting than the typical Las Vegas experience, Alexxa’s Bar has just that. If you are looking for incredibly unique cocktails, great food and a setting that gives you all the sites and sounds of Las Vegas, Alexxa’s Bar is the spot for you.
